CAMH: The Centre For Addiction And Mental Health

Ajani Charles has been a CAMH mentor since 2017.
Initially, he worked with clients at the “Sports & Gym Group” on a weekly basis through the discontinued LEARN program – a program for young people experiencing early signs of psychosis.
LEARN offered a wide range of services that help clients decide what their employment needs are and find employment, meet their educational goals, become more active socially, and take part in leisure activities.

Through the “Sports & Gym Group,” Ajani encouraged and mentored CAMH clients, while playing basketball and soccer with them, in addition to engaging in weight training sessions with them.
He has also taught clients various photography-based technical skills while critiquing their work through the Photovoice program and teaching them the basics of Adobe Photoshop.
Moreover, he often shares CAMH’s resources with those in need.
