Toronto’s DJ Wristpect has released the fourth installment of his “Bridging The Gap” series, which essentially unites Canadian and America Hip-Hop recording artists, in addition to being one of the most powerful networking tools utilized by the young DJ.
The”Bridging The Gap” mixtapes usually focus on a single region of the United States and in this case, the gap between Virginia and Canada is bridged.
This mixtape is hosted by Virgina natives, The Clipse and feature some of the Hip-Hop duo’s latest work from “Til The Casket Drops”, as well as singles from their first two albums.
Furthermore, the most prolific Hip-Hop recording artists from Virginia (such as Timbaland, The Neptunes, D’Angelo and others) are also featured on the mixtape, along with Canada’s most talented MCs.
This mixtape is over a month late and furthermore, DJ Wristpect first told me about the production of “Bridging The Gap Volume 4″, about a year ago, as I was on stage with The Clipse, while documenting [them].
With that being said, this mixtape was well worth the wait, is one of the most well-done Hip-Hop mixtapes in recent Canadian Hip-Hop history and definitely parallels DJ Wristpect’s hunger for self-improvement as both a musician and as a business man.
It’s also important to note that Bridging The Gap Volume 4″ marks DJ Wristpect’s debut as a producer.
