Zeesy Powers is a super-talented, Toronto-based visual artist/performance artist that I went to high school with.
Like myself, she majored in visual arts and I have been impressed by her work since I was a teenager.
Below, I’ve included an excerpt from her awesome projection performance piece, entitled “Total Panic”.
The piece was produced last year and Powers describes it in the following way:
” This performance features 5 dancers and is accompanied by live musicians. Another version of this has been performed as a solo piece for up to 6 hours.
The dancers are Julia Male, Amelia Ehrhardt, Alicia Grant, Minae Omi and Olivia Buckle.
The music was composed and performed by Alia O’Brien and Andrew Zukerman.”
